Jin Xiong joined the Institute of computing technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993. She received Ph.D degree in Computer Systems and Architecture from the Institute of computing technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. She is a professor at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2013. She was in charge of the research and development of the high-performance cluster file systems for Dawning series supercomputers. She got the Second Prize of China Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2006, and the Outstanding Achievements Awards (Group) from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. She is also a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF) and a member of IEEE, ACM and CCF Technical Committee of Information Storage Technology. In recent years, her research interest is distributed storage systems for data center applications including cloud computing, big data and AI. Several research systems have been built include distributed storage system QWin which can enforce differentiated tail latency SLOs for different tenants, vectorized SQL engine VEE and columnar storage systems Mastiff and C-Stream for big data analytic, high performance storage systems H-scheduler and NV-Shuffle for big data platforms, high performance key-value stores including HiKV, pCompaction, dCompaction and LightKV.
